Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into a search form are sent to the third-party results provider; our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. When you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Information Collected by Site Operations
Routine hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are used. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate the site, fix technical issues, measure traffic, and improve its reference pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites and Tools
Links may lead to county or state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their own policies control information you provide after leaving this site. The same is true for sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for our operations. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatically collected data described above. Information is disclosed in response to valid legal process when required, and not otherwise.
Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no user accounts, this site does not keep a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. Our research did not identify a comprehensive New York consumer-privacy statute that creates a universal deletion right; 2025 Senate proposals S9131 and S9008 were proposals, not current comprehensive law. Because we hold very little, requests are usually limited to a search of our contact mailbox and server logs, followed by removal of what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by New York, Orange County, or City of Newburgh custodians are outside our control, and requests about them belong with the responsible office.
Policy Updates
We will post revisions to this policy on this page. Continued use after a revision means that you accept the updated policy.
